When an engine shows power related problems or its condition needs to be checked, a relative compression test can be performed. The test results will show whether the mechanical part of an engine is in good condition. This video will demonstrate how to perform a compression test on an engine, using the starter motor current to determine the relative compression values of all cylinders.
